I created ayú because I find it beautiful to lean into the science of life – which is what Ayurveda means. For me, Ayurveda is not just a philosophy, but a way of life. A way to understand ourselves, nature, and the rhythm of life.
ayú was born from a deep-seated desire to bring more awareness and presence into our daily lives. I wanted to create products that remind us to pause, breathe, feel ourselves – and remember that we are part of something larger.
Presence as daily practice
In a world where pace often dictates us, I have personally felt how important it is to create small rituals that bring us back to the body and to the present moment. That is precisely what ayú is all about.
When we rub ourselves with an oil, light a scent, or simply pause for a moment to breathe deeply, something happens. We turn our attention homeward.
I believe that mental health begins with awareness – with getting to know oneself, sensing one's needs, and daring to take care of them. When we understand ourselves, life becomes easier. It feels like we start moving with life, instead of against it.
Scents as a journey of consciousness
ayú consists of three scent universes – Vata, Pitta, and Kapha – inspired by Ayurveda's understanding of human nature and energy. Each scent has its own unique mood and purpose.
-
Vata brings calm and grounding. It helps us land when our thoughts are racing, and we need warmth and security.
-
Pitta creates balance and gentleness. It cools the mind when life feels intense, reminding us to breathe and let go.
-
Kapha awakens energy and lightness. It supports us when we need movement, inspiration, and a little loving nudge forward.
Although the scents have different effects, they all share the same heart: they bring balance, presence, and glow. They are carefully crafted and contain carefully selected essential oils that nourish both body and mind.
A sensory experience
ayú oils moisturize and soften the skin without feeling greasy – and for me, it's important that they feel light and natural to use. They should be part of everyday life, not something special you "have to remember," but a small joy you look forward to.
When I use them, I feel how the scent lifts my mood and helps me be more present. These are small moments of self-care – and I believe it's precisely these moments that make a difference in the long run.
My wish for ayú
My wish with ayú is to inspire a gentler way of being in life. A way where we tune in, instead of perform. Where we allow ourselves to rest, nourish, and reconnect with what feels true.
For me, ayú is a loving invitation to live with more awareness – to experience scent, sensation, and breath as paths to balance.
When we know ourselves and our needs, a lightness is formed that enriches life.
ayú is about that lightness.
About calm. About presence.
And about the beauty of being in touch with oneself – every day.
